An X user has sparked reactions online after sharing an encounter with a man who allegedly got upset hearing her call her husband “babe.”

 According to her, the man insisted that a wife should call her husband “Daddy” and allegedly said he would beat his wife if she ever addressed him as “babe.”

Amused by the moment, the woman joked that she expected him to suggest a traditional title like “Nna anyi” instead, while insisting she would continue calling her husband “babe” in peace.

She added that although she sometimes says “Daddy” depending on her mood, she and her husband were left shocked by the man’s strong reaction, before playfully asking others what pet names they call their partners.
