Choosing Love - 1 year ago

In a world on fire,
Where does love lie?
It baffles me when people
Boldly use the word "love,"
But are deep-rooted in ignorance,
A heart made of stone,
Mind deluded by hate,
And engulfed by ungodly desires
That burn like wild fires, almost untameable.

A world where the products of its offspring
Are children with broken hearts,
Raised in broken homes.
How do we heal
When we aren't ready to open our hearts
To the delightful warmth of love?

There's a God above,
Love at its purest:
Romans 5:8 - "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
A love unfathomable,
An unconditional love, like never before.

I am not a god,
Not even anything close to being perfect,
But because He loved me first,
I choose to love.
I'll choose love,
Over and over again.
