There are times when things get hazy and uncomfortable, moments when, in your mind, you wish the problem could just solve itself. During these moments, we're often put on edge, where different emotions surface at once: happiness, sadness, nervousness, anxiety, and more.
Most times, we're left to handle our problems ourselves, which leads us to reflect on what we've done before, what we're currently doing, and what we should do to overcome it. Reflection involves finding a beautiful solution through a collective line of memories that has shaped us.
When I'm faced with overwhelming situations, whether I feel lost academically, personally, emotionally, or even physically, I pause and reflect. Because a lesson is being taught, and it should be understood to allow proper retention and practice in the future. I often ask myself: how did I handle this before? Is there a way to make this faster? I make sure I solve the problem first.
When my thoughts and the lessons come together, I arrive at a beautiful fitting solution by the end of the day, but it's achieved with a calm mind. Most times, I take a walk or listen to music to think deeply and calmly, and a solution tends to pop up.
That's the essence of this post: to remind you to always reflect. Today is always better than yesterday, but yesterday is important, because we learn to make today better.
Reflection is key to growth 🌻
