Security operatives on Monday dispersed protesters in the Karu area of the Federal Capital Territory. As protesters were just beginning to assemble, security agents moved in and arrested three individuals.

One protester, Yahaya Abdullahi, told our correspondent that the security agents fired teargas at them. "Our people were just coming out, and the police and other security agents started tear-gassing us and arrested some of our people. We know of three arrests for now," he said.

This crackdown follows a series of #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests across the country, highlighting widespread frustration with national issues.
