The visit to the Sterling Company was short and mainly introductions. Theodore didn’t have much to do but he knew better than to depend on the workers especially after he had been given such a huge task of doubling the profit of the company in a year.
From there, Theo suggested we take a quick visit to his company. Bartholomew was very impressed at the efficiency and transparency with which Theo ran his company. After setting a few things in place and holding a brief meeting with his workers, we left the company and headed home.

“The view is beautiful, isn’t it?” I heard a familiar voice ask and I was almost startled to death. I turned quickly. It was Bartholomew. “I’m sorry, I thought you heard me coming,” he apologized and I shot him a glare.
“Don’t do that ever again.” I warned him and he raised his hands up midair in surrender.
“I thought you were as good as Conner,” he teased, joining me on the bench.
“I was lost in thoughts.” I defended myself even though I knew that he was right and my sensitivity level was very low. I needed to work on that fast, else one of these days, I’d get myself and Theo abducted.
“I see, family or friend?” he pried and I looked at him.
